Blackmores chose Vivanti as its AI partner to help establish the foundations for its AI Lab and develop strategic use cases aligned to its AI innovation roadmap. AI platform for scale and frontier capability

Working with the AI Lab and the broader IT team, Vivanti helped establish Google Cloud as Blackmores’ AI platform. The platform provided a scalable, governed environment for AI development and deployment, with access to a broad and rapidly evolving set of cloud, data, and AI capabilities. This gave Blackmores a foundation not only for current priorities, but also for exploring emerging AI approaches as the technology continued to evolve. Vivanti supported the platform through its early proof-of-concept phase and worked closely with Blackmores’ IT team on the path toward enterprise readiness, providing advisory and consulting support to help guide the transition and support handover into internal ownership.

Strategic use case development

Alongside the platform work, Vivanti worked with Blackmores to develop several AI use cases that drew on its capabilities, including internal and customer-facing AI applications and AI agents. These use cases supported strategic initiatives focused on new ways of working and new ways of delivering value to customers. The work drew on a blend of advisory, consulting, AI engineering, data science, and front-end and back-end development skills. Vivanti provided these capabilities flexibly as needs evolved, scaling support up or down while maintaining continuity and knowledge through core team members. As the partnership has continued, Vivanti has also worked with the AI Lab to explore the latest approaches in agentic AI application development and how these can be adopted into business-as-usual processes.

Navigating the governance and stakeholder journey

A significant part of the work involved helping Blackmores navigate the organisational journey required to establish and scale AI solutions. This included both platform design considerations and AI-specific risks, particularly in the context of the health sector. Vivanti supported governance processes, worked closely with IT and business stakeholders, and helped bring the right groups on the journey as the platform and use cases developed. This ensured the work progressed with the level of alignment, trust, and oversight needed for successful adoption.
